UK DNA testing company Atlas Biomed disappears, leaving customers without access to data

Atlas Biomed, a UK-based DNA testing company with alleged Russian ties, has disappeared, leaving customers concerned about their sensitive data. The company's website and contact numbers are inactive, and it has not filed accounts since December 2022. Customers report that they can no longer access their genetic reports after sending samples and payments. The Information Commissioner's Office is aware of the situation and has received complaints regarding the company's disappearance. Atlas Biomed's registered office is in London, but two of its remaining officers are linked to a Moscow address associated with a Russian billionaire. There is currently no evidence that customer data is being misused.
