Ukraine conducts missile strike in Russian territory using ATACMS
Ukraine's military has reportedly conducted a missile strike in Russian territory using an Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS). The strike targeted a military facility near Karachev in the Bryansk region, about 130 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. This action follows recent missile and drone attacks by Russia on Kyiv, marking a significant escalation in the conflict. The U.S. has recently authorized Ukraine to use ATACMS missiles, which could reach deeper into Russian territory than previous Ukrainian capabilities. In response, Russian President Vladimir Putin has updated the country's nuclear doctrine, stating that any conventional attack supported by a nuclear power will be viewed as a joint attack on Russia.
