Ukraine fires U.S.-made missiles into Russia as tensions escalate
Ukraine has reportedly fired six U.S.-made longer-range missiles into Russia's Bryansk region, marking its first use of these weapons inside Russia during the ongoing conflict. This development comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin has lowered the threshold for using nuclear weapons. Moscow claims to have intercepted five of the missiles, with debris causing a fire at a military facility but no reported casualties. Ukraine also stated it hit a military weapons depot in Bryansk, though details remain unverified. In Ukraine, recent Russian strikes have resulted in multiple civilian casualties, including 12 deaths from a drone attack in the Sumy region. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need for a strong response to Russia's ongoing aggression.
