Ukraine launches British Storm Shadow missiles into Russia targeting military command post
Ukraine has launched British Storm Shadow cruise missiles into Russia, targeting a military command post. This follows the use of US ATACMS missiles just a day earlier. The strikes mark a significant escalation in the conflict. The Storm Shadows, which have a range over 250 km, allow Ukraine to hit deeper into Russian territory. This capability comes as Ukraine seeks to counter Russian attacks and support its defense efforts, especially as the war approaches its thousandth day. In response to the missile strikes, the US closed its embassy in Kyiv due to threats of air attacks. Other embassies, including those of Italy and Greece, also shut down, while the Kremlin warned of potential retaliation against NATO countries supporting Ukraine's long-range strikes.
