Ukraine launches Storm Shadow missiles into Russia for first time
Ukraine has reportedly launched British-French-made Storm Shadow missiles into Russia for the first time, targeting the Kursk region. This follows Ukraine's use of US-made ATACMS missiles against a Russian weapons depot just a day earlier. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov did not confirm the missile use but stated that Ukraine is prepared to defend itself. A Russian military blog shared images of a Storm Shadow missile fragment, which was verified by a weapons expert. The Storm Shadow missiles have a range of about 250 kilometers, while the ATACMS have a range of 300 kilometers. Ukraine's recent missile strikes mark a significant escalation in its military operations against Russian targets.
