Ukraine launches US-made missiles into Russia's Bryansk region in new escalation
Ukraine has reportedly fired six U.S.-made ATACMS missiles into Russia's Bryansk region, marking the first use of these weapons inside Russia during the ongoing conflict. This escalation comes as Russia's President Putin has lowered the threshold for nuclear weapon use. Moscow claims to have intercepted five of the missiles, with debris causing a fire at a military facility but no reported casualties. Ukraine also stated it targeted a military weapons depot in Bryansk, with multiple explosions heard in the area. In recent days, Russia has conducted multiple strikes on Ukrainian residential areas, resulting in numerous civilian casualties. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy criticized Putin's actions, asserting they demonstrate a lack of interest in peace talks.
