Ukraine reportedly fires British Storm Shadow missiles into Russia for first time
Ukraine has reportedly fired British Storm Shadow missiles into Russia for the first time, targeting the Kursk region. This action follows increased tensions due to Russia's deployment of North Korean troops in the conflict. UK Defence Secretary John Healey confirmed the government is committed to supporting Ukraine amid escalating attacks from Russia. He discussed Ukraine's response to these escalations with Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov. Additionally, the US has allowed Ukraine to use long-range Atacms missiles, which were employed in a strike on a military facility in Bryansk. In response, Russia has lowered its nuclear weapons threshold. The US embassy in Kyiv has temporarily closed due to security concerns.
