Ukraine uses Storm Shadow missiles to strike targets in Russia
Storm Shadow missiles are long-range cruise missiles developed by the UK and France in the 1990s. They can be launched from aircraft, have a range of over 155 miles, and travel at speeds exceeding 600 mph. Recently, Ukraine has used these missiles to strike targets inside Russia after allies lifted previous restrictions. Initially, the UK donated Storm Shadows for use only against targets within Ukraine. The missiles utilize terrain mapping for navigation, allowing for precise strikes while avoiding detection. They have been effective in targeting Russian military assets, including ships and headquarters.
