Ukraine uses UK-made missiles against Russia for the first time
Ukraine has reportedly used UK-made Storm Shadow missiles against Russia for the first time. Russia's defense systems intercepted these missiles, along with six HIMARS rockets and 67 drones, but did not confirm the locations of the intercepts. Ukraine accused Russia of launching an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) at Dnipro, injuring two civilians and damaging infrastructure. This marks a significant escalation in the conflict, as the missile was reportedly fired from Russia's Astrakhan region. In response, the Kremlin did not confirm the ICBM launch but emphasized its commitment to avoiding nuclear escalation. Both Russia and Ukraine are increasingly using advanced long-range missile systems, raising concerns about further military escalation.
