Ukraine's advanced drones can strike deep into Russia
Ukraine has developed advanced drone technology that allows strikes deep into Russian territory, a significant change from its initial reliance on basic reconnaissance drones at the start of the war in February 2022. The new drones can reach targets up to 1,000 miles away. Recent attacks, including a large strike on Moscow, demonstrate Ukraine's growing capabilities. Ukrainian officials report that their drone technology is currently ahead of Russia's by three to four months, despite ongoing improvements on both sides. The "9th" department of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence agency is leading these advancements, utilizing both aerial and sea drones for various military operations. Their goal is to enhance these drones further, potentially equipping them with missiles to counter Russian aircraft.
