Union ministry approves construction of Jalori Jot Tunnel in Himachal Pradesh

The Union ministry of road transport and highways has approved the construction of the Jalori Jot Tunnel, a project previously championed by former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. This development marks a significant step forward for the long-awaited tunnel. Pratibha Singh, the state Congress president, criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for not supporting the project during their time in office. She accused them of misleading the public about the tunnel's progress. Singh praised public works minister Vikramaditya Singh for his efforts in securing the approval. She emphasized that the tunnel connects Rampur to Kullu and fulfills a key promise made during the Lok Sabha elections.
