Universal Pictures reveals title for Wicked sequel as Wicked: For Good

Universal Pictures has announced the official title for "Wicked: Part 2," which will be called "Wicked: For Good." The title is derived from a duet in the musical's second act. The sequel is set to release on November 21, 2025, and will feature Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande reprising their roles as Elphaba and Glinda. The film was shot back-to-back with the first installment. Director Jon M. Chu stated that the sequel is more relevant to current societal issues. The first film has grossed over $500 million and received four Golden Globe nominations.
