U.P. CM proposes Green Park redevelopment in Kanpur

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called for a proposal to redevelop the Green Park stadium in Kanpur. He wants to restore its former glory. This announcement came during a divisional review meeting on Sunday. Yogi stressed the importance of improving infrastructure in Kanpur, especially with the city's growing population. He asked officials to speed up road widening and rehabilitation projects in the area. He also mentioned the need for parking facilities for 500 to 1,000 vehicles near the upcoming convention center. During the meeting at the Sarsaiya Ghat auditorium, Yogi evaluated ongoing development projects and discussed the law and order situation. He ordered training for home guards and other personnel to better manage traffic. Local representatives shared their concerns about various regional issues. The Chief Minister addressed issues such as road improvements, sewer management, and land encroachments. He emphasized the need for an IT hub and sewerage upgrades as part of the AMRUT 2.0 scheme. Yogi also instructed strict actions against cow smuggling and other crimes. He ensured security measures and facilities for the upcoming Chaitra Navratri and Eid festivals. Local lawmakers raised specific issues, including the need for better court connections, airport access, and educational facilities. Yogi responded with directions for their resolution. He reviewed projects like the convention center and Chunniganj metro station, urging timely and high-quality completion. The Chief Minister visited both sites to assess their progress.
