Up Leaf Café opens in downtown Muskegon

A new cafe, Up Leaf Café, has opened in downtown Muskegon, Michigan. MaryLou Lam, who is from Holland, started the cafe last month inside Lumberman’s Vault on West Webster Ave. The cafe focuses on fresh ingredients infused with Asian spices. Lam created Up Leaf Café to offer unique flavors inspired by her travels in Southeast Asia. She aims to give the Muskegon community diverse meal options that highlight Asian cuisine. The cafe features an array of dishes, with a menu that includes favorites like Korean-style beef bowls and rice paper rolls. One key aspect of the cafe is its use of handpicked ingredients and house-marinating techniques for proteins. Lam also offers specialty drinks made with teas and syrups sourced from Vietnam. Prices at Up Leaf range from $3.95 for drinks to $15.95 for bigger meals. The cafe is designed to make every visitor feel welcome. Lam wants everyone to have something to enjoy. Up Leaf Café is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and customers can order online for carryout.
