UPPSC exams for RO/ARO set for July 27
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) will hold the preliminary exam for Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) positions on July 27, 2025. The exam will take place in a single session from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM across all 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh. This decision comes after protests last year when the UPPSC planned to conduct the exam over two days. The initial schedule had angered candidates, leading to a delay. Candidates now wanted a single-day exam format, similar to the pattern used for the PCS preliminary exam. Exam controller Harsh Dev Pandey confirmed that the RO/ARO preliminary exam would have one session. According to a recent UPPSC press release, the test will involve multiple-choice questions worth a total of 200 marks. Candidates will earn one mark for each correct answer, but will lose 0.33 marks for incorrect ones. There are 411 vacancies for these positions, which are highly sought after by job seekers in the state.
