Uproar ensemble showcases vibrant new music in Wales
Uproar, a Welsh new music ensemble, showcased its talent in a concert featuring György Ligeti’s Chamber Concerto. Conducted by Michael Rafferty, the performance highlighted the ensemble's dynamic presence in the Welsh music scene. The concert included premieres by Welsh composers, such as Anna Thorvaldsdottir's Hrím and Kiko Liteng Shao's Floating Theatre, which creatively incorporated audience participation. David John Roche's Harm Reduction and Ashley John Long's Imagin’d Games also contributed to the diverse program. Ligeti’s Chamber Concerto received its Welsh premiere, praised for its intricate textures and vibrant acoustics.
