Urgent food safety alert for mispacked Centra snack

A food safety alert has been issued for a popular snack sold at Centra. Some packages of Inspired by Centra Chocolate Covered Raisins have been incorrectly filled with chocolate-covered peanuts. This mix-up poses a serious risk for people with peanut allergies or intolerances. The Food Safety Authority of Ireland warned consumers not to eat the affected batch. The mispackaged product contains peanuts, which are not listed on the label. This could lead to severe allergic reactions for those sensitive to peanuts. The impacted packs are 250 grams, with the batch code 5048131596A and a best before date of November 2025. Customers with peanut allergies are advised to check their cupboards and not consume the snack. They can return it to their local Centra store for a refund.
