US deploys additional troops and aircraft to the Middle East to enhance security

The U.S. is deploying a few thousand additional troops to the Middle East to enhance security and support Israel, according to the Pentagon. This move follows recent escalations in the conflict involving Israel and Hezbollah. The deployment includes multiple fighter jet squadrons, such as F-15E, F-16, A-10, and F-22 aircraft. Both existing and new squadrons will remain in the region, effectively doubling airpower. Additionally, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced the extension of the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group in the area. The jets are intended to protect U.S. forces, not to assist in evacuations.
