US Treasury sanctions Chinese firm for links to Flax Typhoon hacking group
The US Treasury has imposed sanctions on Chinese firm Integrity Technology Group for its alleged ties to the Flax Typhoon hacking group. The company is accused of providing infrastructure that supported cyber intrusions against American organizations. Integrity Technology Group, based in Beijing, specializes in cybersecurity products. The Treasury claims its resources were used in multiple cyberattacks from mid-2022 to late 2023, targeting critical infrastructure and government entities in the US. In response, the Chinese government dismissed the accusations as politically motivated. Integrity Technology Group also denied the claims, calling the sanctions baseless and illegal.
