Usha Vance to become first Indian American second lady as JD Vance is elected vice president
Usha Vance is set to become the first Indian American and first Hindu second lady in U.S. history, as her husband, JD Vance, is elected vice president. She will also be the youngest second lady since 1949. Usha Vance, 38, is the daughter of Indian immigrants and was raised in San Diego. She met JD Vance at Yale Law School and they married in 2014. They have three children together. While Usha Vance has taken a more private role during the campaign, she has expressed interest in potential initiatives as second lady. She noted that she and JD have different political views but enjoy discussing their perspectives.
