Usha Vance to become first Indian American second lady as JD Vance is projected vice president
Usha Vance is set to become the first Indian American and Hindu second lady in U.S. history as her husband, JD Vance, is projected to be the next vice president. She will also be the youngest second lady since 1949. Usha Vance, 38, is the daughter of Indian immigrants and met JD Vance at Yale Law School. They married in 2014 and have three children. She recently left her law firm after his vice presidential announcement. While Usha Vance has taken a more supportive role on the campaign trail, she has expressed interest in exploring her responsibilities as second lady. She noted that she and JD have different political views but enjoy discussing their perspectives.
