The University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) VDrink has successfully completed a perfect run in Group B of the Cebu Youth Basketball League (CYBL) Chairman's Cup 2025. They finished with a 5-0 record after defeating the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles 91-57 on March 23 at the Cebu Sports Hub. In their final group match, USPF's Luke Brent Dy led the team with 18 points, making 7 of 12 shots. He also contributed eight rebounds, seven steals, and two assists. Jack Robert Cox added 14 points and five steals, while Kris Lawrence Selim scored 10 points. The defeat was tough for SHS-AdC, who are now likely out of contention with a record of 1-3. Jacob Javelosa scored 17 points for the Magis Eagles, while Yani Monterola added 14 points, but their efforts were not enough. USPF dominated the game, especially in the paint, outscoring SHS-AdC 66-26. They also took advantage of turnovers, scoring 45 points from mistakes made by their opponents. The USPF bench was a significant factor, contributing 36 points compared to just nine for SHS-AdC's bench. With this victory, USPF advances to the playoffs, joining the University of the Visayas Baby Lancers and CKBA from Group A. One more team will join them in the playoffs.
