Utah's 2025 5A All-State basketball teams announced

The 2025 5A boys basketball All-State team has been announced, with selections made by coaches. The team is divided into first, second, and third teams, along with honorable mentions. Gavin Lowe from Olympus was named Mr. Basketball for leading his team to the state title. He averaged 22.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. Dean Rueckert from Timpview earned the 5A Player of the Year title with his average of 18.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. The first team includes Dash Reiser from Alta, Bradley Easton from Brighton, Chamberlain Burgess from Orem, Andrew Miller from Springville, Jack Anderton from Highland, and Josh Mawhinney from Brighton. Each player made significant contributions to their teams throughout the season. The second team features Luke Meyer from Juan Diego, Jax Allen from Orem, Isaiah Drisdom from Highland, Jamyn Sondrup from Springville, Soren Ries from Highland, and Luke Owen from Olympus. These players also showed strong performances during the season. The third team consists of Caden Jackson from Olympus, Drez Jensen from Viewmont, Will Openshaw from Timpview, Hunter Jackson from Woods Cross, Bryson Heath from Bountiful, and Chance Dastrup from Orem. These players were recognized for their hard work and talent. Additionally, several players received honorable mentions, highlighting more standout athletes from the season. The All-Tournament Team named Gavin Lowe as the MVP, along with other top performers from Olympus and Highland.
