Uterine sarcoidosis diagnosed in young woman with fever
A 28-year-old woman was diagnosed with rare uterine sarcoidosis after experiencing recurrent fever for five months. Initial tests suggested other conditions, but imaging revealed significant lesions in the uterus, leading to a total hysterectomy. Histopathological examination confirmed numerous granulomas in the uterine tissue, establishing the diagnosis of sarcoidosis. The patient also had splenomegaly and elevated enzyme levels, prompting corticosteroid treatment, which resolved her fever. This case highlights the need for clinicians to consider sarcoidosis as a potential cause of unexplained fever and to recognize its rare involvement in the uterus.
