Uttar Pradesh boosts fire safety measures for Mahakumbh 2025
The Uttar Pradesh government is enhancing fire safety for the Mahakumbh 2025, aiming for a 'zero-fire event'. New measures include more fire personnel, advanced rescue teams, and AI-powered fire detection cameras for quick response. Compared to the 2019 event, the number of fire stations will increase from 43 to 50, and temporary fire posts will rise from 15 to 20. The government will deploy 2,071 personnel and 351 fire vehicles, nearly doubling the resources available. Additionally, over 7,000 fire hydrants will be installed, up from 4,200 in 2019. The government has also partnered with fire services for external audits to ensure safety standards are met.
