Uttar Pradesh converts heritage sites into hotels

The Uttar Pradesh tourism department is planning to transform historical monuments into heritage hotels. They have signed a partnership agreement with Neemrana Hotels and Redwood Holding & Realty Service to make this vision a reality. The agreement will focus on two key locations: Barua Sagar Fort in Jhansi and Shukla Talab Baradari in Kanpur. This project aims to turn these sites into heritage properties that attract tourists. Prakhar Mishra, the tourism director, explained that the initiative will use an adaptive reuse model. This will help preserve the history of these sites while allowing visitors to enjoy local art, food, culture, and unique local products. Mukesh Meshram, the principal secretary for tourism and culture, was also present during the signing of the agreement. This project reflects the state's commitment to enhancing its tourism offerings.
