Uttar Pradesh governor claims ancient sage Bharadwaj conceptualized aircraft idea

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel stated that the ancient sage Bharadwaj conceptualized the idea of aircraft, although the Wright Brothers are credited with its invention. She made these remarks during a university convocation in Lucknow. Patel also described Kumbhakaran, a character from Hindu mythology, as a "technocrat" who secretly created machines. She encouraged students to study ancient Indian texts to recognize the innovations of their ancestors. Additionally, Patel highlighted the importance of translating these texts into various languages to broaden access to this knowledge. She noted the significant funding for education in the current budget and praised the performance of Uttar Pradesh universities in national rankings.
