Uttar Pradesh is now a model for New India
Jal Shakti minister Swatantra Dev Singh praised the Yogi Adityanath-led government for its achievements over the past eight years. He spoke on Tuesday in Prayagraj, calling New Uttar Pradesh a role model for India because of its focus on service, security, and good governance. The minister highlighted how people in the state have been a part of its development, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their visionary leadership. He emphasized that UP's transformation has gained national and international attention, driven by improvements in culture, connectivity, and commerce. Minister Singh outlined several benefits provided by the government. More than 11 lakh farmers received help through a national farmers' scheme, and over Rs 250 crore was given to aid farmer debt relief. He noted assistance for couples and daughters under various welfare schemes, including mass marriage and girl child initiatives. The government also supported the elderly and women, distributing pensions to thousands. Educational scholarships helped over 7 lakh students, while sanitation improvements included building numerous toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Infrastructure projects included the construction of multiple rail overbridges and roads in Prayagraj. Singh also discussed tourism initiatives, with new hotels identified for subsidies and development at local cultural sites. In summary, Singh's comments reflect a commitment to continued progress in Uttar Pradesh through various social and economic programs aimed at improving the lives of its residents.
