Vadodara artists showcase mixed-media art in Lucknow exhibition
A group art exhibition named Abhivyakti opened in Lucknow on Monday. The exhibition features 41 paintings created by 12 artists from Vadodara. It is being held at The Centrum and will be open until April 6. Hina Bhatt curated the exhibition and has also displayed her own work. She presented four paintings titled Hill Man, The Golden Horse, Pertinacity, and Perseverance. The artists used various techniques, including shellac on burnt wood, watercolors with embroidery, and natural paints. Curator Hina Bhatt noted that while some artwork may resemble others, each artist brings their own unique interpretation to their work. She emphasized that the theme "Abhivyakti" reflects this uniqueness. Rakesh Kumar Maurya, director of Synapse International Art Gallery, stated that the exhibition invites viewers to explore their feelings and contemplate the human experience. The exhibition was inaugurated by Asim Arun, the minister for Social Welfare, and several others attended the opening.
