Vadodara demolishes illegal constructions and vendors
The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) took action against illegal constructions and street vendors on Wednesday. They were assisted by the police during this crackdown. Teams from VMC focused on the Gorwa-Panchwati Road, where they demolished various unauthorized structures. This included buildings connected to a known bootlegger. In total, five temporary shelters and two shops were removed. The operation also targeted street vendors. Handcarts and other materials were taken away from the Shastri Bridge area, resulting in four truckloads of seized goods. Additionally, vendors were cleared from the Pratapnagar-Makarpura road and the service road near the Gorwa-Madhunagar flyover. Further, VMC demolished eight cattle sheds in the Atladara and Kalali regions. The effort aims to maintain public order and remove illegal encroachments in the city.
