Vadodara police investigate car speed using CCTV footage
Vadodara: Police are gathering evidence related to a recent car accident involving Rakshit Chaurasia. They are collecting CCTV footage from every intersection along Chaurasia's route the night of the crash. This is part of their investigation to determine how fast he was driving when the accident occurred. Chaurasia claims he was driving at a speed of 50 to 60 km/h. However, video evidence may tell a different story. Police are also working with automobile experts to analyze Chaurasia's vehicle and estimate its speed at the time of the crash. Authorities have already interviewed two passengers in his car, Pranshu Chauhan and Suresh Bharwad, who gave detailed accounts of events before the crash. Police have also obtained mobile phone footage showing Chaurasia right after the accident. Initial checks suggest that Chaurasia was not under the influence of alcohol, but they are waiting for medical test results to confirm this. The police have also begun the process of appointing a special prosecutor for the case. The accident occurred on March 12 when Chaurasia crashed into three vehicles, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to seven others.
