Vaibhav Suryavanshi becomes youngest player sold at IPL auction for INR 1.10 crore
Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 13-year-old cricketer from Bihar, made history by becoming the youngest player sold at an Indian Premier League auction. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.10 crore during the auction in Jeddah. Suryavanshi was initially listed with a base price of INR 30 lakh. A bidding competition between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals led to his record sale, making him a crorepati. His cricket journey began at age four, and he has quickly risen through the ranks, recently scoring a record 58-ball century for India U-19. He also made his first-class debut earlier this year, becoming the youngest player to do so since 1986.
