Valley nurse helps others with multiple sclerosis challenges
A woman named Erin Kienlen is helping others after her own struggle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Erin was diagnosed while she was in college and felt scared and lost. A caring nurse guided her and gave her the knowledge to manage her condition. This experience inspired Erin to become a nurse herself. Now, Erin works as a patient navigator at Banner Health. She helps others who have been diagnosed with MS. One of her patients, Joey Persinger, had symptoms for 22 years before finally being diagnosed. She says Erin's guidance has made a huge difference in her life. March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month. Erin's story highlights the importance of supportive care. She is now giving back to the community just like the nurse who once helped her. Both women spoke about their experiences and the power of compassion in healthcare.
