Vanderbilt's Karris Bilal enters transfer portal immediately

Vanderbilt guard Karris Bilal has decided to transfer just minutes after the team lost to Saint Mary’s in the first round of March Madness 2025. He entered the transfer portal 13 minutes after the game ended. Bilal did not play this season because he redshirted. He didn’t travel with the team for the game in Cleveland or for the SEC Tournament in Nashville. Bilal is from Atlanta and was a three-star recruit. He was ranked as the 22nd-best player in Georgia. He is a 6-foot-2 point guard weighing 190 pounds. In the game against Saint Mary’s, Vanderbilt had a 12-point lead in the second half. However, they lost their advantage when key player Augustas Marciulionis faced foul trouble. Coach Mark Byington noted that the team missed easy shots and open three-pointers, which contributed to their loss.
