Varun Chakravarthy rules out Test cricket call-up
Varun Chakravarthy, who played a key role in India's Champions Trophy win, has ruled out a Test cricket call-up. He stated that his bowling style is not suited for the demands of Test matches, where bowlers typically deliver 20-30 overs. Chakravarthy, a spinner, explained that he transitioned from fast bowling due to the spin-friendly conditions in Tamil Nadu. He emphasized his focus on white-ball formats, specifically T20 and ODI cricket, where he feels more comfortable. He finished the Champions Trophy as the joint second-highest wicket-taker, with nine wickets in three matches. Chakravarthy will next compete in the IPL with Kolkata Knight Riders, starting March 22.
