Vellore college vice-principal faces sexual abuse accusations
The Vellore South All Women Police Station has opened a case against a college vice-principal for sexual abuse. The accused, S. Anbazhagan, allegedly committed the offenses against a 37-year-old guest lecturer. Anbazhagan has not been located since the complaint was made. As a result, students at the college held protests. They expressed concern over the slow response in apprehending the vice-principal. During the protests, students surrounded police officers from the AWPS, demanding swift action. Police reassured the students that they would work to arrest Anbazhagan as soon as possible.
