Venezuelan gang member arrested in Cobb County, Georgia
A high-ranking member of a Venezuelan gang was arrested in Cobb County for serious crimes committed in Chicago. Ricardo Gonzales, 32, is wanted for kidnapping three women and killing two of them. The U.S. Department of Justice says Gonzales is part of the Tren De Aragua gang. He had an arrest warrant for kidnapping and was charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. The alleged crimes took place in Chicago, where Gonzales is accused of abducting the women and shooting them in an alley. One woman survived and managed to call 911 for help. Attorney General Pamela Bondi described Gonzales's actions as horrific and highlighted efforts to remove criminals from the U.S. for safety reasons. Gonzales was booked into the Cobb County Jail and is set to be extradited back to Chicago. During the arrest, five other individuals were also taken into custody and sent to ICE detention facilities.
