Max Verstappen won the Qatar Grand Prix for the second consecutive year, despite starting from the back due to a grid penalty. He quickly took the lead after the race began at Lusail International Circuit. The race featured three safety car periods and several incidents, including crashes and punctures. Charles Leclerc finished in second place, while Oscar Piastri took third. George Russell, who started from pole position, dropped to fourth after losing the lead early in the race. Pierre Gasly from Alpine finished in fifth place.
