Veteran South Korean actress Kim Soo Mi dies at 75 from cardiac arrest

Veteran South Korean actress Kim Soo Mi passed away at 75 on October 25 due to cardiac arrest. She was found unconscious by her son and later pronounced dead at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital. Kim Soo Mi began her career in 1971 and gained fame from the 1980s sitcom "Country Diaries." She had been experiencing health issues since May and had stopped working prior to her death. Throughout her career, Kim appeared in numerous popular TV shows and films, earning accolades for her performances. Her last appearance was in the 2023 film "Love My Scent."
