Vi 5G launches in Mumbai with unlimited prepaid plans
Vodafone Idea, known as Vi, has officially launched its 5G network in Mumbai. Customers can now access high-speed internet using their 5G-compatible phones with unlimited plans. The launch is part of Vi's plan to expand its 5G services to other major cities like Delhi soon. Vi offers both prepaid and postpaid plans, which include unlimited 5G data. Current Vi customers do not need to buy a new SIM card to access 5G. Existing 4G SIM cards are already 5G-ready, so users can continue with their current cards. If anyone suggests purchasing a new SIM for 5G, it is not necessary. To use the Vi 5G network, customers must have a compatible phone. Most brands offer such phones in different price ranges. Users can check their phone's compatibility through the mobile network settings. Vi's prepaid plans start at Rs 299, providing unlimited data usage. Other options include plans at Rs 349 and Rs 365, which offer 1.5GB and 2GB of daily data, respectively, both valid for 28 days. Vi plans to extend its 5G coverage to states like Bihar, Karnataka, and Punjab in the upcoming months.
