Vic Flick, the British guitarist known for creating the iconic riff of the James Bond theme song, has died at 87 after battling Alzheimer’s disease. His family announced his death on Facebook. Flick was a prominent session musician, contributing to hits for artists like Tom Jones, Petula Clark, and The Beatles. He played on several James Bond films and was recognized for his unique guitar sound. Born in Surrey, England, Flick began his music career on piano before switching to guitar. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award from The National Guitar Museum in 2013. He is survived by his wife, son, and grandchild.
