Victim in East Oakland kidnapping identifies herself
A kidnapping victim from East Oakland came forward on Thursday. The incident took place on March 4 in the 1800 block of 98th Avenue. The event was captured on camera. It happened around 3:30 p.m. The suspect first attempted to hit the victim with a car. Then, he got out and punched her several times, leaving her with serious injuries. After the attack, the suspect forced the victim into his car. She shouted that she was being kidnapped as he drove away on 98th Avenue. Police later found the suspect's car in East Oakland and discovered it was stolen. The victim identified herself in the video of the incident and was offered support services by authorities. There is still no additional information available at this time. The suspect is described as a Black man, aged 20 to 24, standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall. He has a thin build, short twisted hair, and a scar or mark on his left cheek. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hoodie with a white logo, blue jeans, and white shoes.
