"Vidyapati" trailer released; film premieres April 10, 2025

The trailer for the Kannada film "Vidyapati" has been released, featuring actor Nagabhushana in the lead role. The movie is directed by Esham and Haseen Khan and produced by Dhananjaya under Daali Pictures. Malaika Vasupal stars as the female lead. "Vidyapati" is set to premiere on April 10, 2025. In the film, Nagabhushana plays the husband of a popular actress. His character enjoys a comfortable life due to his wife’s success. However, their relationship becomes strained after he fails to defend them from a gang of thugs. Angry at his inability to protect his wife, Nagabhushana's character enrolls in a karate training center to seek revenge against the villain, portrayed by Garuda Ram, known from "KGF." The film is described as a quirky David vs Goliath tale, focusing on an underdog aiming for unexpected revenge. Dhananjaya also appears in the film as a mysterious character called Anaconda. The cinematography is handled by Lavith, while DOSSMODE serves as the music director. Esham and Haseen previously worked on the comedy "Ikkat" in 2021, also starring Nagabhushana.
