Vince Elie's OT goal leads Cataractes past Foreurs
In a thrilling game, Vince Elie scored the game-winning goal in overtime, leading the Shawinigan Cataractes to a 5-4 victory over the Val-d'Or Foreurs. The match took place on Friday in Val-d'Or, Quebec. Elie finished the game with two goals. Kody Dupuis, Matvei Gridin, and Félix Lacerte also scored for Shawinigan. The team’s goalie, Mathys Fernandez, made 30 saves during the match. For Val-d'Or, Noah Reinhart, Philippe Veilleux, Donovan Arsenault, and Samuel Fiala each contributed goals. The Baie-Comeau Drakkar edged out the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 2-1. The Acadie-Bathurst Titan came from behind to beat the Charlottetown Islanders 3-1, and the Cape Breton Eagles won 4-1 against the Saint John Sea Dogs. Lastly, the Gatineau Olympiques topped the Victoriaville Tigres 4-1, with key performances from Julien Paillé and others.
