Vinpower launches 2TB iXflash USB drives for $299

Vinpower has launched two new USB flash drives, the iXflash and iXflash Cube, which offer up to 2TB of storage. These devices aim to provide a portable alternative to cloud storage. With a growing reliance on smartphones for high-resolution media and AI features, internal storage fills up quickly. The iXflash Cube can directly record photos and videos, automatically backing them up while charging. This means users can keep their data secure without needing an internet connection. Unlike cloud services, which may add fees for storage, these drives allow instant access to files without the wait. These drives are compatible with various systems, including iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac. However, convenience comes at a price. The 2TB versions of both drives are priced at about $300, which is higher than typical external hard drives. Smaller options are available, starting at around $38 for 128GB and up to $170 for 1TB. Despite being more expensive than larger external hard drives, the compact design and direct compatibility with devices like the iPhone offer a practical choice for users needing portability. Calvin Chang, CEO of Vinpower, emphasized the importance of high-capacity storage for mobile applications that rely on AI technology.
