Vintage plane overturns at Tyabb Airport; pilot hospitalized
A man is in hospital after his light plane flipped over after landing in grass on Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula. The incident occurred at Tyabb Airport around noon on March 22. Police responded to reports of the vintage plane overturning. The pilot, who was the only person on board, managed to get out of the aircraft on his own. He was taken to Frankston Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. A spokesperson for Ambulance Victoria said the man is in his 70s and is stable, though he is experiencing upper body soreness. Tyabb Airport is located about 70 kilometers from Melbourne.
