Virgin Media announces imminent TV channel lineup changes

Virgin Media customers should prepare for a series of TV channel changes that start on Friday. This update comes after several recent channel closures, including the loss of Eurosport. This week, Virgin Media will adjust four channels, but there are no new closures to report. Following the closure of Eurosport, its content combined with TNT Sports, which is owned by Warner Bros Discovery. For sports fans, free coverage will still be available on Quest, located on channel 172. Virgin Media's upcoming changes mainly affect those who subscribe to Sky Cinema. On Friday, viewers will see some temporary changes. Sky Cinema Action will temporarily become Sky Cinema Men In Black, showcasing all the films from that franchise on channel 407. Additionally, Sky Cinema Originals will change to Sky Cinema Book To Screen on channel 402. Sky Cinema Greats will return to channel 404 after being briefly replaced by Sky Classics. On Sunday, the temporary Men In Black channel will revert back to Sky Cinema Action. There are concerns about potential future channel closures. The BBC previously announced plans to transition CBBC and BBC Four to digital-only formats. Meanwhile, Channel 4 hinted at closing more of its smaller channels that do not bring in significant revenue or public value. The exact channels affected remain uncertain.
