Virginia State Police arrested a 21-year-old woman, Ashlynn Nichole Barnes, after a high-speed chase involving a stolen U-Haul truck. The pursuit lasted over 10 miles on Interstate 264, where she drove against traffic. Barnes made multiple U-turns and used reversible lanes to evade police. She eventually collided with a trooper's vehicle before officers stopped her by striking the truck to prevent further danger. Barnes was taken to Norfolk Sentara General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No injuries were reported among troopers or other drivers. Charges are pending following her release from the hospital.
