Visakhapatnam police initiate awareness program for students

The police in Visakhapatnam have started a new program called ‘Nava Samaja Nirmanam’. It aims to raise awareness among students about important social issues. The program kicked off with around 2,000 students attending from Andhra University. The event took place at the AU Convention Centre on Beach Road on Saturday. Commissioner of Police Shankabratha Bagchi and Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University G.C. Raja Sekhar were present at the launch. During his speech, Mr. Bagchi highlighted the importance of discussing topics such as cybercrime, violence against women and girls, and drug abuse. He encouraged students to take a pledge against drug use.
