Vito the pug wins Best in Show at 2024 National Dog Show in Pennsylvania
Vito the pug has made history by winning Best in Show at the 2024 National Dog Show, the first pug to achieve this title in 20 years. The event took place in Oaks, Pennsylvania, with about 2,000 dogs competing. The two-and-a-half-year-old pug won the Toy Group before defeating six other group winners for the top honor. Vito has earned 25 Best in Show titles in his career, according to co-owner Carolyn Koch. The National Dog Show has been held annually since 1933 and was first televised in 2002. This year, it was broadcast on Thanksgiving Day by NBC.
